Volunteer at WellSpring

We simply can’t do what we do without a selfless team of volunteers.  Here are a few volunteer needs that we have right now; we’d love to have your help! Fill out this simple web form to let us know you’re interested!

Construction & Demolition Team (aka “Set-up & Tear-down”)
Even though we have our own building, we still need folks to help us set things up before our 8:15am service and tear it all down after our 10:55am service.
“Spring Street” Children’s Ministry Team
There are “help wanted” signs all over Spring Street!  Right now, volunteers are needed for the Children’s Guest Registration Table (helping parents get their kids “checked in”—a 30-45 minute commitment on Sunday mornings or evenings).  We could also use teachers and “helpers” (adults who assist Spring Street teachers) for our nursery – 5th grade classrooms (a 90 minute commitment on Sunday mornings or evenings).  All Spring Street volunteers must complete a background check.
Student Ministry Team
The WellSpring Student Ministry (6th – 12th grade) needs teachers (for Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and Wednesday evenings), event sponsors (hosting events in your home, driving vans to conferences, helping with our student praise band), and “assembly” volunteers (helping with the organization/administration side of the ministry).
Hospitality Team
Our hospitality team ensures that WellSpring visitors and members feel right at home.  At the moment, our hospitality team could use greeters (who arrive 15 minutes before each Sunday worship service to say hello and hand out bulletins), hospitality table volunteers (who arrive 30 minutes before each service and serve coffee), and meal preparers & deliverers (who cool and/or deliver meals to families who are sick, grieving, just home from the hospital, etc.).
Meals on Wheels
This volunteer team delivers meals to shut-ins on a regular basis; it’s a three-hour time commitment every few weeks.
LifeGroup Leaders
If you’ve been in a WellSpring life group for a while, we’d love to chat with you about leading (or co-leading) a LifeGroup.  We’re looking for folks with “spiritual warmth” and a heart for people—seminary degrees aren’t required!
Worship Ministry Team
Our worship team currently needs sound technicians (serving for 6.5 hours/week on a rotating basis), background vocalists (serving for 6.5 hours/week on a rotating basis), and band members (serving for 6.5 hours/week on a rotating basis).
Ushers & Communion Team
This team could use a few extra volunteers to serve as ushers and communion-preparers.  Ushers help pass communion, collect offering & communication cards, and set up extra chairs as needed for late-arrivers (about a 20-minute commitment during service).  Communion-preparers help get communion ready before each service and clean communion trays afterwards (about a 30 minute commitment).
Administration & Info Team
We could use workers for our Information Table on Sunday mornings and evenings; volunteers help guests with information about WellSpring about 15 minutes before and after the worship service.  We also need mid-week church office volunteers to help with administrative tasks such as data entry, mailings, filing, etc.  Office volunteer schedules are based on availability, but the average commitment is around 1 – 3 hours per week.
