The City

Throughout this site, you’ve probably seen text or graphics encouraging you to join–or log in to–”The City.”  So it only makes sense to take a minute and tell you what The City is…and why we think it’s a good idea for you to connect with us there.

The City is basically a web-based community—and a set of really helpful tools—for WellSpring regulars and visitors.  It allows you to meet new people, find/join/manage LifeGroups, keep up with what’s going on in your friends’ lives, send event invitations and track responses, and buy/sell products and services in a “Classifieds” environment.  Finally, being a part of The City ensures that you stay up-to-date with the latest WellSpring news and announcements.

By the way…no, we aren’t asking you to give up your Facebook or Twitter account (WellSpring still has Facebook and Twitter accounts, and you can too).  In fact, The City “plays nice” with both of those sites, allowing you to update your Twitter account or post public-facing content accessible by Facebook users.  Just think of this as a smaller WellSpring community within the larger world of social networking.
